The most charming and popular store in Oakland's Montclair neighborhood arrived in l997 after operating for 19 years in Berkeley as Andrea. Andrea, named after founder Andrea Faber, became the social center for the Elmwood neighborhood in Berkeley, a place to share neighborhood tales and word of mouth advice on the many delights and secrets of the pleasures of the City of Berkeley.
I love Hula! Great style, wonderful jeans, always have cool Nic and Zoe clothing, and Josef Ribicoff. All the women working there are friendly and helpful - it's my go to place when I need just the right item of clothing for an event, a season or a pick me up. Do yourself a favor and swing by sometime- you won't be sorry!
This is the most friendly store in Montclair and all of Oakland. Owners Andrea and Naomi are mother and daughter and make you feel like family when you walk in the door.
The selection of clothing is unique, modern and top quality. I always find what I'm looking for and then some!

I love, love, love this store. Naomi has created a little bit of retail shopping heaven! I first came to her mom, Andrea, store on College many years ago ... I bought a rain coat which I still have! Because I'm retired and living on a pretty much fixed budget, I mainly shop their rack on the sidewalk which has great buys for $25 each. I also do indoor shopping when I am able to and the quality of their merchandise is always top shelf!
