The original Hop Yard Alehouse & Grill in Pleasanton, California, is located on what was once the largest hop farm in the world. From the 1880's to the beginning of World War I, the Pleasanton Hop Company operated on 1900 acres of swampy marshland along what is now Hopyard Road. Pleasanton hops were world renowned. The idea of INC 82 came to us one day while trying to figure out where to go to eat in our local area. Realizing that the choices in Dublin are pretty scarce when it came to non-chain restaurants, we decided to create our own, because that's what all people do, right? We started working with an executive chef to produce a mouth-watering menu and a brewmaster to brew the greatest beers. Mmmmmm beeeeeeer........ Together, we created a microbrewery and restaurant with a hip environment where you can get local beer, cocktails, and freshly made food. Why the name you ask? Well, the city of Dublin was founded in 1835; however, it didn't become an incorporated city until 1982, hence the name INC 82. Melo’s has its roots in a remote village in the lush hills of the province of Calabria in the south of Italy. There, two brothers, Carmelo and Gaetano Piccolo, were raised on simple, rustic meals prepared with the best regional ingredients such as pure olive oil, wild oregano, handmade pasta and hearty bread. The brothers absorbed the love of simple, flavorful food and the passion for cooking for which the people of southern Italy are known worldwide. The memory of the local flavors and traditions traveled with Carmelo and Gaetano as the family re-settled in America. In 1956, the brothers opened the Napoli Pizzeria in Vallejo, California -- a thriving and popular place for decades! Their success continued when a new venture took them to Pleasant Hill, California. El Chaparrito Authentic Mexican Cuisine Ever since I was a little girl my parents loved to cook, it was always something I knew connected them. My father Edgar Plascencia has always been one to throw ingredients in and vioala you have your meal, my mother Margarita Quintero has her specialties, from carnes en su jugo, to tortas ahogadas. We strated off making 10 plates a day to go and try to sell to different companies, my father worked two jobs while my mother worked part time and then slowly it turned into her attempting a sale in her food. Now the funny thing is that our intentions was never to open a restaurant, it was always to just have whats necessary for our family and thats it. Eventually we went to the city and we were informed that we needed a commercial kitchen in order to be able to sell food, so with that news we started searching for a small kitchen only to be able to make the 10 plates. So one day, we were driving home and my mother being the curious and impulsive person she is, decided to stop by this little place and ask if the hall kitchen was available, we got the blessing to speak with the beautiful Abby Devoto, she was amazing about everything and she let us know that, that kitchen wasn’t but that there was indeed another kitchen in what use to be the golf course cafe, available. Little by little it started to grow and eventually Abby had the idea of a restaurant, to my parents it was crazy but then she told the HOA and gave them the idea and such, my parents finally gave in and said “lets do it”. So our small family business began and we started off so small, we’d even have time to nap, but little by little it began to grow more and more and now we are where we are, all of this thanks to God, my parents, Abby and Mike Devoto and our amazing customers who have been there from the beginning trusting that we make a good meal coming from that small kitchen,we always will and have tried to give the best of us for your satisfaction, I can honestly say, I Naxly Plascencia am the proud daughter of two amazing people who I was blessed to be given as parents.
