Panache Enfants - We are a brand new program that aims to be one like no other. Panache Enfants, literally translated, means sons and daughters with a flamboyant and confident style or manner. Our aim is just that. We want to partner with parents to create confident, strong children who can take on the world of elementary education by storm.
Our goal is to lay the foundation for healthy minds and bodies. We believe in an enriched program, which prides itself on creating a balance of academia, fitness and arts. At Panache Enfants, your child(ren) will be immersed in math, language, science and arts as well as have multiple opportunities to delve into cooking, dance, drama, gymnastics, yoga and sports. Our program does not believe in teaching one subject at one time, but rather including all of our core values into every aspect of the day. An example of this may be at lunch when children will be encouraged to discuss the color, shape, feel and smells of the foods they see.
The entire day is a learning opportunity for children. Traditional instructor led lessons will be paired with discovery based learning on a daily basis. Along side these methods, children will have another opportunity to learn through exciting, Promethean interactive wipe board lessons. The aim is to provide a cohesive variety of teaching methods to enable students with different learning styles the opportunity to grasp core concepts.
Panache Academie is an after school program, associated with Panache Enfants. Our curriculum balances traditional academia with cutting-edge tech learning that caters to students’ passions, with classes taught by professional scientists, engineers, artists and designers. We include Language Arts, Math, Public Speaking, Science, Engineering, Art (digital and studio) in our daily and weekly lessons: students will rotate between Scientixium lab, Artixeda Minor studio, Texniol Enginuitix lab and other extra-curriculars to include every subject every week. We also provide after school pick-ups from the local elementary schools.

Rocco's Pizzeria
In 1922, Giovanni and Virginia Biale left the town of Savona in Genoa, Italy with their three young sons, Giacomo, Mario and Rudolfo to make a new life in America. With help from a cousin, they made their way to San Francisco and settled in the Italian section of Potrero Hill. Less than a year later, my grandfather, Giovanni, opened “Biale’s Meat Market” on Connecticut Street. To this day “Biale” is still tiled in the entryway of the building.
Giacomo “Jack”, my uncle, stayed in the butcher business while Mario, my father, and Rudy went into the bar and restaurant business in San Francisco, Phoenix and Honolulu. Rudy owned and operated two “Rudy’s Italian Restaurants” in Waikiki for 25 years.
I worked at Rudy’s for 3 years with my brother Anthony. It was there I learned the importance of being a hands-on owner. People came from all over the world to visit “Rudy’s”, enjoying the food, the wine, and the gracious host.
In the fall of 1999, I opened Rocco’s Ristorante & Pizzeria. I have tried to maintain that same warm and inviting feeling my father and uncle provided for so many years. My family hopes you enjoy your visit and will come see us again!

St. Clare's Christian Preschool – Our philosophy at St. Clare’s is to prepare the children for Kindergarten by helping them develop social and emotional skills (taking turns, transitioning from one activity to another, playing with friends, developing language etc), confidence and independence. We also prepare academically for Kindergarten, particularly in our 4 – 5 year old classes, which is when we consider the children are ready, developmentally. We introduce a writing program (Handwriting Without Tears, about 10 minutes a day), a pre-reading program (Zoophonics), and a more formal social and emotional curriculum (Second Step). Even in the 4 – 5 year old classes we leave plenty of time for free play, both inside and outside class, so children can continue to develop their play skills and creativity before they settle into the more academic culture of elementary school and beyond.
Opportunities are provided daily to develop large and fine motor skills, music awareness and artistic expression, and math and science activities in a developmentally appropriate atmosphere.
Our program also includes a spiritual element. We welcome children of all faith to St. Clare’s so we keep a light touch on this part of our program. We talk to the children about God loving us all, about prayer for those we love, we tell some simple bible stories and sing a song and do a dance. This all takes place on Wednesday morning (for about 20 minutes) in our Church which is right alongside the Preschool. We take the children into the Church because we want them to learn that we behave differently in a holy place, than we do in class or on the playground.
