With help from a cousin, they made their way to San Francisco and settled in the Italian section of Potrero Hill. Less than a year later, my grandfather, Giovanni, opened “Biale’s Meat Market” on Connecticut Street. To this day “Biale” is still tiled in the entryway of the building. Giacomo “Jack”, my uncle, stayed in the butcher business while Mario, my father, and Rudy went into the bar and restaurant business in San Francisco, Phoenix and Honolulu. Dr. David Nisenboym graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior and a minor in Russian language. He then attained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from San Francisco’s University of the Pacific Dental School in 2013. After completing dental school, he completed a dental residency with the Pascua Yaqui tribe of Arizona. While serving the dental needs of the tribe, he gained valuable clinical experience in many procedures including implant placement, IV conscious sedation, root canals, crowns, fillings, and dentures. Following his residency, Dr. Nisenboym returned to his alma mater for two years as a pre-clinical instructor.
