The idea of INC 82 came to us one day while trying to figure out where to go to eat in our local area. Realizing that the choices in Dublin are pretty scarce when it came to non-chain restaurants, we decided to create our own, because that's what all people do, right? We started working with an executive chef to produce a mouth-watering menu and a brewmaster to brew the greatest beers. Mmmmmm beeeeeeer........ Together, we created a microbrewery and restaurant with a hip environment where you can get local beer, cocktails, and freshly made food. Why the name you ask? Well, the city of Dublin was founded in 1835; however, it didn't become an incorporated city until 1982, hence the name INC 82. Wood Family Vineyards

Sparks flew in Yosemite during the spring of 1984. Michael’s eyes captured Rhonda’s across a crowded room at the Lodge. Over glasses of wine, conversations were shared, addresses exchanged, and a relationship ensued. Their first home in Fremont overlooked Weibel Vineyards where they dreamed of one day owning their own vineyard. At their second home, also in Fremont, they planted 18 vines. Before these vines reached maturity, they discovered Crane Ridge Vineyards in Livermore Valley. They purchased property with 8037 vines and built their dream home. Wood Family Vineyards winery shortly followed. Rhonda took a leave from her career as an airline pilot to handle the winemaking. Michael, a CFO, helps out where he can and enjoys the fruit of their labor, especially the award winning Chardonnay, his favorite. The winery operations have been moved to their current location and the tasting room opened in June 2017. Their oldest son, Harrison, has taken on the role of Executive VP. They have a strong commitment to each other and to the celebration of life, family and friends. This same commitment carries over into making luscious handcrafted wines. Darcie’s great, great grandfather, Fritz R. Ruegsegger, came to America with his family from Switzerland in 1875 to pursue a career in winemaking. In 1883, Fritz’s son and Darcie’s great grandfather, Christian Ruegsegger started his own winery, the Alpine Winery, in St. Joseph, Missouri, which held bond #62 in the United States. Along with managing the vineyards and all winemaking tasks, Christian hand painted his own wine labels. The Alpine Winery bottled its last wine in 1945, when hard times following the repeal of Prohibition forced the family to shut down operations. Darcie Kent now proudly carries on the family tradition as a fifth generation vintner and artist for the winery that bears her name, Darcie Kent Vineyards.
