The idea of INC 82 came to us one day while trying to figure out where to go to eat in our local area. Realizing that the choices in Dublin are pretty scarce when it came to non-chain restaurants, we decided to create our own, because that's what all people do, right? The Cheesecake Factory

In the 1940s, Evelyn Overton found a recipe in her local Detroit newspaper that inspired her “Original” cheesecake. Everyone loved her recipe so much she decided to open a small bakery, but eventually gave it up to focus on raising her children, David and Renee. She moved her baking equipment to her basement kitchen and continued to sell cakes to some of the best restaurants in town. In 1972, Evelyn and her husband Oscar moved to Los Angeles to try one last time to have their own business. With the last of their savings, they opened The Cheesecake Factory Bakery and began selling Evelyn’s cheesecakes to restaurants throughout L.A. Their son David decided to open a restaurant in Beverly Hills in 1978 to showcase his mother’s cakes. Somehow, he just knew that a restaurant with an extensive dessert menu would be a hit. THE WALNUT CREEK PICKLEBALL CLUB

Pickleball for All The Walnut Creek Pickleball Club was created to share this great sport with people of all ages and skill levels. Join us for round robins and barbecues, or just come out and play at our courts at Rudgear Park in Walnut Creek. We hope to see you on the courts! WC Pickleball Club and the City of Walnut Creek Our club has been steadily growing with a membership of over 700 members in 2022. In 2015, in partnership with the City of Walnut Creek our club raised $10,000 to put in four dedicated pickleball courts. In September 2018, we were able to raise $18,000 and added four more dedicated courts. Since 2016 our club has worked with the City of Walnut Creek by participating in Community Service Day where picnic tables have been added, new tan bark laid down and debris cleaned away from the courts and fences. In 2020 and the years following when Community Service Day was not possible due to Covid 19 our club also participated in the Community Food Drive which received 39,000 pounds of food donations for the Contra Costa Food Bank. Our club is proud to contribute to the beautification of the pickleball courts at Rudgear Park. We were very excited for Community Service Day to return in 2022 and had the opportunity to beautify our courts once again. [read more]
