Wood Family Vineyards
Sparks flew in Yosemite during the spring of 1984. Michael’s eyes captured Rhonda’s across a crowded room at the Lodge. Over glasses of wine, conversations were shared, addresses exchanged, and a relationship ensued. Their first home in Fremont overlooked Weibel Vineyards where they dreamed of one day owning their own vineyard. At their second home, also in Fremont, they planted 18 vines. Before these vines reached maturity, they discovered Crane Ridge Vineyards in Livermore Valley. They purchased property with 8037 vines and built their dream home. Wood Family Vineyards winery shortly followed. Rhonda took a leave from her career as an airline pilot to handle the winemaking. Michael, a CFO, helps out where he can and enjoys the fruit of their labor, especially the award winning Chardonnay, his favorite.
The winery operations have been moved to their current location and the tasting room opened in June 2017. Their oldest son, Harrison, has taken on the role of Executive VP. They have a strong commitment to each other and to the celebration of life, family and friends. This same commitment carries over into making luscious handcrafted wines. Many visitors have said that they also feel like “Extended Family” when visiting the winery and Tasting Room which is an attest to the wonderful atmosphere at Wood Family Vineyards.

Enrollment Information
Registration procedure:
1. Call or email to schedule an appointment to tour or stop by and visit.
2. Find out about availability in your child's age group.
3. Visit the classroom(if you haven't already done so).
4. Pick up a packet of forms from the office or download from our website.
5. Determine your co-op level and start date with the director.
6. Return forms and tuition and fees to Sonshine Office.
7. Start School!
Registration for upcoming school year 2020-2021 is in January.
Special Programs
Children attend a brief chapel time twice a month.
There is an annual field trip to the Pumpkin Patch in October.

Sonshine Preschool is a part-time, parent cooperative that operates as an outreach of Trinity Lutheran Church. We offer a developmentally-appropriate, enriching preschool environment where children grow and learn socially, emotionally, physically, academically, and spiritually.

Nomad School
The world is our classroom.
For students in 5th-8th grades, Nomad is a mobile, project-based school for adventure seekers, dreamers, and doers. Thematic journeys lead students through academic content leading to deep exploration of big ideas. Through meaningful experiences, students practice the process of learning and then apply their new-found knowledge through self-driven projects.
Students learn by engaging with the world around them on regular excursions around the Bay Area, working with nearby experts and understanding that they are meaningful members of their community.

Pizza Antica
We are part of the Bacchus Management Group family of restaurants. Bacchus, located in the best “big” city in the world, San Francisco, is a boutique hospitality group that owns and oversees a handful of award-wining restaurants, including the Michelin-starred Spruce in San Francisco and The Village Pub in Woodside. The group also includes SMIP Ranch, a private farm in the hills above Woodside that grows ingredients exclusively for the restaurants; a coffee roasting company, RoastCo; and The Village Bakery, an artisan bakery in Woodside.
Pizza Antica's journey began over 17 years ago with the opening of the first location in Santana Row. Our goal was to evoke the feeling of eating in a classic Roman pizzeria, while cooking with pristine local ingredients from small family farmers. We have since opened additional restaurants in Mill Valley, and Lafayette.

There is no fee for applications or waiting lists. There is a one-time enrollment fee of $90 charged to first-time registrants. Please contact the school for tuition and after school extended care rates.

Noah’s Ark is a faith-based developmental preschool located in a unique pastoral setting. Our learning environment provides all children with the opportunity to grow socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually and spiritually, in a caring and nurturing community. Noah’s Ark honors the developmental strengths, needs and challenges of each child: recognizing individual differences in interests and abilities.
Our hands-on intentional curriculum consists of literacy, math, science, gardening, nature exploration, cooking, perceptual motor, drama and music. The children are provided with opportunities to explore and interact in individual, small and large group settings.
Our curriculum addresses the developmental needs of the "whole" child – knowing that the "work" of childhood is "play" – while preparing them for today’s academic kindergarten experience.

Ever since I was a little girl my parents loved to cook, it was always something I knew connected them. My father Edgar Plascencia has always been one to throw ingredients in and vioala you have your meal, my mother Margarita Quintero has her specialties, from carnes en su jugo, to tortas ahogadas. We strated off making 10 plates a day to go and try to sell to different companies, my father worked two jobs while my mother worked part time and then slowly it turned into her attempting a sale in her food. Now the funny thing is that our intentions was never to open a restaurant, it was always to just have whats necessary for our family and thats it. Eventually we went to the city and we were informed that we needed a commercial kitchen in order to be able to sell food, so with that news we started searching for a small kitchen only to be able to make the 10 plates.
So one day, we were driving home and my mother being the curious and impulsive person she is, decided to stop by this little place and ask if the hall kitchen was available, we got the blessing to speak with the beautiful Abby Devoto, she was amazing about everything and she let us know that, that kitchen wasn’t but that there was indeed another kitchen in what use to be the golf course cafe, available. Little by little it started to grow and eventually Abby had the idea of a restaurant, to my parents it was crazy but then she told the HOA and gave them the idea and such, my parents finally gave in and said “lets do it”. So our small family business began and we started off so small, we’d even have time to nap, but little by little it began to grow more and more and now we are where we are, all of this thanks to God, my parents, Abby and Mike Devoto and our amazing customers who have been there from the beginning trusting that we make a good meal coming from that small kitchen,we always will and have tried to give the best of us for your satisfaction, I can honestly say, I Naxly Plascencia am the proud daughter of two amazing people who I was blessed to be given as parents.
