School established 1991. We are an academic program and learning center. We are accredited by the National Independent Private Schools Association.
The Quarry Lane School believes in providing structure for the child and guiding him/her in the learning process. We are concerned about the individual emotional needs of each child. The Quarry Lane School staff works hard to balance love and organization in guiding your child. There is a balance between relaxed social times and organized group activities. Our classroom environment is flexible, designed to meet the developmental levels of children while allowing for the unique differences in their needs.

Highlights of Porky’s Pizza Palace History
1963 – Porky’s Pizza Palace is founded by the Marrone family and became the hub of the Washington Manor area family and sports teams.
1983 – The Valenziano family purchases Porky’s Pizza Palace after moving from Illinois.
2006 – Sal and Shirley Valenziano retire, leaving day-to-day operations and management to their sons, Gregg and Gary Valenziano.
2013 – Over 500 $1 large cheese pizzas are served on our 50 year celebration, gathering old and new customers alike to help us celebrate!
2013 – Porky’s Pizza celebrates 50 years in the San Leandro Community!
2013 – Porky’s Pizza Palace competes in the International Pizza Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.
2018 – Porky’s opens our Porky’s Pizza Palace Pleasanton location on the corner of Hopyard Rd. & Valley Ave. offering the same great Pizza, Chicken, CraftBeer, Cocktails and Community Service along with a outside patio that seats 95 people.

Our work extends well beyond the Zoo. With over 25 wildlife conservation partners globally, we take pride in providing funds to support their programs and efforts to save wildlife. Through our partnership with California Department of Fish & Wildlife, we accept, rehabilitate, and re-home wildlife rescued from wildfire and human-wildlife conflict. In the past five years alone, this includes 17 mountain lions, 36 California condors, 8 bears, and over 600 yellow-legged frogs.
As a proud Oakland institution, we are also involved in our community, offering free and discounted education programs to schools, supporting other non-profits, and offering free and discounted admission to underserved families and children.
